You don't have to be a Good Baker to make Cakes and Cookies, all you need is a lot of patience, follow the weights and ingredient ratios very carefully as this is the most important aspect in baking. Nowadays I can bake some reasonably good cookies and cakes though I am far from being an expert, at times they come out hard and brittle.Why do you always have to BAKE A CAKE, just try this 'STEAM A CAKE' and the way I did it ......

STEAMED CHOCOLATE CAKE

YOU NEED

Maida flour 1 cup

Cocoa powder 4 tbsp

Sugar 1 cup(powdered)

Baking powder 1 tsp

Soda bi-carbonate 1/2 tsp

Milk 1 cup

Vinegar 2 tbsp

Egg 1 nos

Butter 1 tbsp (melted)

Vanilla essence 1 tsp

Salt a pinch

DO IT

-Mix the milk and vinegar and keep aside for 15 Min's this will give you sour milk.

-Sieve together maida baking powder, cocoa powder salt and soda bi-carbonate keep aside.

-Beat the egg and powdered sugar together until creamy, add the vanilla essence and butter also mixing it thoroughly.

-Add the flour mixture alternating with the milk to give smooth batter, now pour mixture into a greased dish and cover with butter paper or foil.

-Steam it in a moderate heat for 45 Min's in a steamer.

-Remove, cool it and serve sliced.
