One of my favourite site on Desserts is ; it is very informative with a good variety of recipes especially on Muffins, Scones and Pies,Microwave has become an important gadget in the kitchen and I use it mostly for cooking vegetables,making papads and heating up crispy food, cooking wholly in the microwave is not worth a try especially with Indian food, even for baking any day the oven baked version is better,.Try this Chocolate microwave Cake, some tips have been taken from Chef Sanjeev Kapoor and modified by me its good............



All purpose flour 2 cups

Baking powder 2 tsp

Grated Chocolate 1 cup

Butter 1/2 cup

Sugar 1 cup (powdered)

Milk 3/4 cup

Walnuts 1/2 cup (chopped)

Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp


-Sieve the flour and baking powder together and keep aside.

-Melt the Chocolate and butter in the microwave at 70 degrees for 2 Min's, remove and mix in the sugar, add the flour and milk mixing well till you get a pouring consistency, add the vanilla essence and chopped walnuts.

-Pour the mixture into a microwave greased dish and let it cook at 100 degrees for 5 Min's, open after 2 Min's and check if still not firm cook at 70 degrees for another 1 minute.

-Let it rest for a few Min's, then slice and serve.
