Now let s do some blogging about CHIC'S............yes Chicken is a good item for any non-vegetarian meal. Lean white meat recommended by doctors,Chicken is low in saturated fat, contains most of vitamin B and is a cheap source of Protein,the taste of chicken depends on how it is reared and fed. Corn fed chicken tastes the best and their flesh is slightly yellowish, in India chicken is cooked in many ways the most popular ones being Curry, Vindaloos,Koftas, Korma's, Kebabs and Tandoori cooked over naked fire. Now try this simple Chicken dish of mine and I call it Chicken Chap...............
Chicken 500 gms
Onion 1 cup (paste)
Ginger & Garlic 1 tbsp (chopped)
Chilly powder 1 tsp
Curd 1 cup
Oil 3 tbsp
Garam masala 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander 2 tbsp for garnish
-Marinate the chicken with turmeric, ginger n garlic and curd. Keep aside for 1 hour.
-Heat oil in a kadai and saute the onion paste , then add the chilly powder, now add the marinated chicken and cook on high flame for 5 Min's .
-Add 1 cup of water, salt and cook on slow fire when almost dry and chicken is cooked sprinkle with the garam masala mix well.
-Remove and garnish with coriander and serve .
